Hey folks

Well the weather was just lovely today wasn’t it (and no, I’m not being sarcastic which makes a change)?

I was out in the sun for quite a while.  In fact I sat and played guitar which I’m guessing, annoyed the neighbours.  I didn’t put any suncream on but I didn’t think I was getting burnt.

Anyways my mum and sister arrived home a few hours ago and since then I have been greeted with cries of “Lynsay the lobster, Lynsay the lobster”.  I took a look in the mirror and oh yes, I am so red I might as well have been shoved in a pan and boiled for hours.

The redness better have faded by tomorrow.

So if you happen to see me, no I am not a beacon to help aircraft land and no I am not a temporary traffic light.

Well I’m bored so I thought I’d post what I’d been upto so far this week (which is not a lot I can tell you!)

Monday 17th April- This morning I got up around 9am and got the fright of my life when I went into the living room and discovered my sister was there.  I was under the impression she had went to school but no, it turns out she had the day off.  Luckily she went away with my mum leaving me to laze around and enjoy the short-lived sunshine.

Tuesday 18th April- I was awoken by the noise of my sister arguing- and I’m usually the one who gets into trouble for winding her up in the morning.  Somehow I believe her general moodiness is caused by the fact she is just not a morning person (whereas I am haha ).  The fact I’m a little ray of sunshine in the morning winds her up.  Didn’t really do much today.

Wednesday 19th April- I went and sorted my Grandads printer today- Epsons seem to be quite temperamental printers.  In the end it turned out it had run out of ink as well but I knew I had some at home left over from my old Epson so as soon as that was installed it was good to go!

Thursday 20th April- Had a driving lesson this morning…….Argh- parallel parking!!!!!  After my ok(ish) start last week, things seem to have gone downhill (i.e. going to close to a car, being to far away from a car, hitting the kerb on more than one occasion) to the point where I hand forgotten which was my right hand and which was my left.  I’m hoping that it goes a bit better next week!  Grr I get so frustrated.  Today I couldn’t even do a 3 point turn properly!

Anyways I’m happier now- I’m going shopping tomorrow!

Update to the 2nd week of my holidays in which I have achieved bugger all.

Monday 10th April- finished reading Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (again)

Tuesday 11th April- finished reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (again)

Wednesday 12th April- finished reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban(again).  This is also one year to the day when Blue was put down and I miss him so much.  There will never be another horse quite like him

Thursday 13th April- had a driving lesson and finally got the hang of reversing round a corner.  I moved on to parallel parking which I managed first time (so who says girls are rubbish at it then huh?)

Friday 14th April- Started Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (yet again)

Saturday 15th April- watched 8 Simple Rules

Sunday 16th April- didn’t do a lot!

Ok as you can see I have been very productive!  Well I did get Gathering Info stuff done I suppose but I still have Project X stuff, Java and a website to do!

Add to this I have watched most of Season One of Frasier and heaps of episodes of Mythbusters (“I reject your reality and substitute my own!”).  Hehe

Oh yeah-I got my old job back too for the summer- woo!

Thought I’d give you an update as to what I have been doing in the first week of my holidays….

Monday 3rd April- Got up early and took the dog to the top of the cliffs.  It was a fine morning and they sun was actually out!!  Unfortunatly because of the landslide, I couldn’t go down the main cliff path.  I took my camera as well and took a few pics- I mean you get a great view from there.  After this I came back and did some jumping on my sisters mini trampoline which is so much fun!!!  Oh yeah- after the glorious start to the day it snowed!

Tuesday 4th April- This was pretty much the same as the previous day except it involved less sun and more snow which led to me staying in.

Wednesday 5th April- Went to Montrose and got a haircut.  Ok there is hardly a difference but I did get a couple inches taken off each layer.  This time I didn’t get my fringe cut (yes this may come as a shock to those who haven’t seen me for a while) so I no longer have my old fringe.  Its more to the side and thats the way its staying (much to the disappointment of some family members who think I suit a fringe).

Oh yeah, I also received a visit from some Mormons who decided to ask me about my faith.  Well I told them I was an atheist and didn’t believe in Jesus.  They asked me what brought me to that belief and I had to say I didn’t know (of course I know- what sort of God takes a young father away from his children?).  They then asked how did we get here.  My answer- Science/theory of evolution which I don’t think impressed them.  Anyway they felt that I could benefit from having Jesus in my life.  Somehow, I don’t think so.

Thursday 6th April- Had a driving lesson which went ok.  Least I didnt’t hit anyone or anything although I was spotted by several family members- eek!!

Friday 7th April- Didn’t do much today.  My little cousin came to stay over and she was in awe of my guitar playing.  My first (and only) fan!  Then again shes only 5….she will learn…

Saturday 8th April- Did nothing exciting

Sunday 9th April- Actually did some uni work- Gathering Info crapola.  The sooner its done and finished the happier I will be.  It is the only class I detest with a passion
