I’ve been having some problems with iTunes since I installed version 8.1.0.52.
It was working fine but I needed to restart my computer and since then, I’ve had some problems. When using iTunes, it seems to lag a great deal for example, I can’t change song or reduce the volume for around 10 seconds at a time. I’ve looked at the amount of RAM it’s using and it seems to be much lower than usual- it was sitting at 16000k and lagging horribly. I opened up the task manager and increased the priority of the iTunes process to “realtime” and it seems to have reduced the lagging a little. The level of RAM usage is now sitting at 38000k but I’m sure it was higher than that in the past.
I’m wondering if there is anyway iTunes might not be utilising enough RAM, as silly as that may sound?
Hope there is a solution for this because I harbour an intense dislike of Windows Media Player.

If you follow me on Twitter, you will have heard me rave on about how good 30 Rock is.
Don’t have a clue what it is? Well, I’m a bit rubbish at describing things (plus I’m lazy and can’t be bothered typing a description myself) so here’s a link to the wikipedia article. Anyway, it’s a pretty damm funny show and I’ve just discovered that Five USA are showing it on Friday nights.

PS While I’m blogging, I’m going to apologise profusely for the lack of updates. I’ve been doing uni work/perfecting my procrastination skills. Normal service will be resumed within a couple more months. Until then, sporadic updates (like now).

Yes, I have reached yet another milestone- 50,000 songs played on lastfm! The 50,000th song was *…..drumroll….* “I Believe” by a band called I Am Kloot.
