About Me

I thought I should maybe write a paragraph or two, indicating who I am and what this blog is about.

Who am I?
PhD student, computing geek, code monkey, rubbish guitarist, amateur photographer and music lover. That just about sums me up.

What is this blog about?
As you probably know, I’m Lynsay and I’m the owner of this site. Primarily, I’m a geek, therefore the blog contains a number of tech-related posts, with a focus towards web development. In addition to this, I’m also a music lover who enjoys attending gigs and going to the theatre. I try to write something about every show I attend so there are many entries covering the various events I’ve seen over the years. More recently, I’ve had a few issues regarding my hip and have been receiving treatment so there’s a number of posts on that too.

So what happened to your hip?
Long story short: I was born with a dislocated hip and have had 5 operations on it, because it refused to stay in place. It is in place now however, I still lack a “normal” hip joint, which has resulted in premature wear and tear of the femoral head. It’s become more painful over the last few years and I’m now undergoing treatment to keep the pain at bay.

Err, so what music do you like?
This question has a very long answer but to cut it short: mainly classic rock. My favourite artist? Bryan Adams. For the range of music I listen to, see my last.fm profile.

presume you might live in Aberdeen. Cheers Annie
